Paremoremo Wharf Fishing

28 December, 2018
Paremoremo Wharf is a place where Sam went with his father fishing sometimes. It was low tide and we caught two small snapper but they weren't big enough to bring home. The kids had loads of un exploring the area while we waited for bites and enjoyed themselves.

Summer Roadtrip - Whanganui

23 December, 2018
Stopping on the way to Whanganui. We wanted to check out the gorge that Mark and Aliesha told us about but it was closed. We passed by some bridges across rivers along the way and saw some car tracks running along side it so thought we'd check one out. The current was too strong for a swim but the boys enjoyed playing with the rocks and logs and we were able to stretch our legs.

Noah's 5th Birthday Party

15 December, 2018

Noah's birthday was held at Royal Reserve with his friends from Lollipops, Tyler, Max and Nik. Unfortunately a few kids couldn't make it but he had lots of fun with the friends he had there.

The boys quickly fell in love with this awesome track and so we were straight back there the next day.

Riverhead Bike Track

15 October, 2018

We've been in Riverhead for months and we just discovered this bike track just around the corner. What a cool find. There are so many different tracks, bridges and jumps to discover. The boys love this place - though they have to be a little careful at times because it's quite easy to get over confident and hurt yourself.

Muriwai

20 July, 2018

It's school holidays and Mila's staying a few days with us. Noah's daycare goes throughout the holidays and it's nice getting some one on one time with Ashton. Sam's taken some days off work so we head out to Muriwai. It's a lovely day for it. Randa and her two daughters, a family Ash and I met the week before, are out at the beach as well so we say a quick hello before heading down the beach. We spot two seals on the way down!

Baking

18 July, 2018

Baking Day.

It was so much fun getting these packs out, so simple to use. Ash loved helping and knowing that there would be baked goods in the house!

When we put them in the oven and waited for them to bake, we did some reading. The cookies came out but Ash wasn't finished reading and the cookies needed to cool down, so I told him that when he finished reading he would be able to eat one. That set Ash off but he couldn't quite conceal his excitement! One happy boy.

Painting

17 July, 2018

Ash found a some canvases that you can paint and has been hounding me for the last few days, asking if he can paint it. Today, I finally agreed. He spent a lot of time on this painting and did a really good job with it. When Noah gets home from daycare, he's also very excited to start his painting. He starts off painting in the lines but as he goes on, he goes off on his own and starts his own little artwork, using a lot of black, a colour he loves. If I hadn't stopped him, I'm sure the whole thing would have come out black! All in all, they did a great job and I'm one proud mama.

Whatipu

14 July, 2018

It's the weekend, the weather hasn't been that great but we're keen on getting out of the house. Sam suggests we head out to Whatipu and fish out there.

It's sheltered walking to the beach but when we get there we find out that it's really windy. The sand stings when the wind blows.

Noah gets to work immediately and is quite content. He's a busy bee and doesn't waste a second, he's in the zone. He asks for help and I help him build his kingdom. He appreciates it and seems pleased with my work.

Train

17 June, 2018
Sam brought home a train set that he had received from a client at work, and combined with ours, we had a pretty big set.

We laid it out in the house but it was pretty restricted and I really wanted to make a cool track, so I headed outside.
